Hunters siren (or hunters Merman, incidentally) another weapon to add to their photographic arsenal.

The new Nikon Coolpix AW110 is waterproof to 59 feet, shockproof up to 6.7 meters and freezeproof to 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Its predecessor, the AW100 was protected up to 33 feet, can survive drops from 5 feet, and could also continue to operate up to 14 degrees Fahrenheit.

It has an integrated GPS that can be used to geotag photos as well as display and insertion points of interest data and keep a journal of your way while you shoot. Nikon has also jumped into a Wi-Fi that, when combined with Nikon Wireless Adapter Utility mobile app, you can send photos to iOS or Android devices, as well as use them to control the camera wireless.

Rather than an LCD, the AW110 has a 3-inch OLED screen, but the remaining specifications remain the same, including a 16-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor and a 5x f3. 9-4.8, 28-140mm with optical image stabilizer.

It is available in orange, black, camouflage and blue versions in February for $ 349.95.If is too much excitement (or money) for you, Nikon has also updated its budget-friendly compact rugged. The new 10-megapixel Coolpix S31, which replaces the S30 is waterproof up to 16.5 feet, shockproof up to 3.6m (instead of S30 of 9.8 feet and 2.6 feet, respectively ).

One of the most attractive features of the S30, with its low price, has been the use of AA batteries for power, but unfortunately, Nikon has put an end to this, the S31 has a lithium-ion rechargeable instead. The price remains low, although at $ 119.95. The rest of the device is about the same, too.

It will be released in February in white, blue, pink, brown, and yellow versions.
