Google to make Maps available to Microsoft windows Phone users
Google says it will no longer prevent users from accessing Windows Phone from Google Maps, and the blockage was about ensuring a good user experience, not intentionally interfere with a competing product.
Blocking generated newspapers, news agencies different, indicating that he was not poor on features from the mobile version of Internet Explorer, but it was more about behavior on the part of Google that ironically, began to resemble a past behavior by Microsoft.
Google, of course, just dodged a bullet Antitrust Federal Trade Commission of the United States, and it continues to face an investigation by the European Union. We periodically test compatibility with Google Maps mobile browsers to ensure that we provide the best experience for users.
In our last test, IE Mobile still does not provide a good experience cards without being able to pan and zoom features and make card base. Therefore, we have chosen to continue to redirect mobile users to Google.com IE where they could at least make local searches. The Firefox Mobile is offering a user experience a little better and that is why there is no redirection for users.
Recent improvements in IE and Google Maps Mobile now offer a better experience and we are currently working to remove the redirect. We will continue to test Google Maps compatibility with other mobile browsers to ensure the best possible experience to users.
