Former co-CEO Jim Balsillie BlackBerry dumps all of the participation

Jim Balsillie, former co-CEO of BlackBerry, has sold its full participation in society, according to a regulatory filing.

A year ago, Jim Balsillie was one of the largest individual shareholders in BlackBerry (formerly known as Research in Motion) with 26.8 million shares. But in a document filed today revealed the BlackBerry Balsillie no longer hold any shares in the company.
Balsillie and fellow former co-CEO Mike Lazaridis resigned last March amid criticism shareholders about how the company was running and a stunning drop in its share price. Current CEO Thorsten Heins has stepped in to replace them, and contributed to the advent of the new BlackBerry operating system 10 and a rebound in the share price.

Although there are questions about how the BlackBerry 10 will market the smartphone Z10 won some critical acclaim for its user interface.

Lazaridis, who still serves as vice president of BlackBerry holds 29.9 million shares.

BlackBerry share was down 3.5 percent to $ 13.50.
