Verizon has officially announced the Nokia Lumia 928. The device aptly named Windows Phone will be released on May 16 for $ 99.99. The handset has a large 4.5-inch AMOLED screen with a 8.7 megapixel camera supported by a Carl Zeiss lens and Xenon flash.
Other goodies included on the Lumia 928 include special camera applications such as Smart Bridge, which lets you take five pictures in a single burst, while Cinemagraph capture HD video for sharing. Like many modern smartphones, the Lumia comes with a panorama mode, plus it has optical image stabilization (OIS), something of a rarity in the telephones.
Taking a page from the most previous Verizon devices, the Lumia 928 is connected to the network of Big Red 4G LTE high-speed data and the carrier promises that it will be "Global Ready" means that users can appear in the GSM SIM cards to access cellular waves in the world. NFC is on board as well for fast pairing with Bluetooth accessories.
